The Styble Flour Mills factory in Haifa receives incoming wheat supply, handles storage and wheat treatment processes.
Combe work included; construction of new production lines within a newly built facility, as well as, a storage and transportation system of preliminarily treated wheat. Combe installed the entire production process equipment and piping systems, including assembly of; sieves, grinders, tanks and containers, weighing equipment, conveyors, elevators, etc. In addition to the process piping, Combe also installed; pneumatic conveying piping, dropping material tubes system, air suction and compressed air systems.Combe handled transportation, delivery and assembly of all equipment, as well as, installation, fabrication and assembly of all piping systems and systemic layouts.
Project Timeline: 4 months, including quality control testing and live testing.
An on-site workshop was established in order to conduct pre-production, testing and provide support to the 6 assembly teams emplaced, according to the piping system types.
Challenges met: The construction and assembly of the massive and heavy-duty equipment was to be done over a very limited area allotted for the project, and at unusually high altitudes. Some of the equipment was installed 60 meters above ground.
Fully cooperated and closely supervised by the equipment manufacturer, BUHLER, Switzerland.
As of February 2018, the factory is expected to operate at full capacity.
